Joseph McMillian

Owner and Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Born in Richmond, Virginia.

Shortly thereafter moved into his first home in Blackstone on Pickett Court with his family.

After several years, he returned to Nottoway County at the age of 12. He is a 1985 graduate of Nottoway Senior High School.

Joe worked in the family business and served the public in the funeral profession during his teenage years and during his entire adult life with the exception of his duties in the U.S. Air Force, honorably discharged in 1990.

With the assistance of the GI Bill through the Air Force, he obtained his A.A.S. Degree in Funeral Service and is a 1992 graduate of John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA. Joe obtained his license to practice in the funeral profession and embalm in 1992.

He managed the family business in Blackstone for many years.

He has three children:

Savannah, Joe Joe and Marissa.
