William James Williamson

William James Williamson, 81, of Glen Allen, Va., died Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at his home.

He was a retired Credit Manager of General Electric Credit Corp., and a longtime Cashier for 20 years at Overhill Lake. James was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Allan Williamson.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Vaughan Williamson; a son, Jeffrey Lynn Williamson and his wife, Lisa, of Ashland; a grandson, Jason Lee Williamson of Chesterfield; a granddaughter, Dakota Dayle Brightstar Williamson of Ashland; his brothers, Owen Newbill Williamson of Philadelphia, Pa., Phillip Garland Williamson of Vienna, Va.; and a sister, Marian W. Poindexter of Ashland.

A memorial service will be held 4 P.M., Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Glen Allen Baptist Church, with a reception and visitation immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Private burial will take place at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
