Willfred T. Reames, Jr.

Willfred T. Reames, Jr., of Amelia, Va. passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 at the age of 83.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Jean W. Reames; two sons, W.T. Reames, III and wife, Carla of Amelia, Ronald W. Reames and wife, Nancy of Rice; seven grandchildren, Will T. Reames IV and wife, Katie, Andrew H. Reames, Matthew C. Reames, Stephen C. Reames, Amy R. Goshorn and husband, John, Ronald Wes Reames, Jr. and wife, Rebecca and Austin D. Reames.

Willfred was a retired manager of Southern States Cooperative, Burkeville branch, and has been a lifetime Methodist, serving in many capacities in St. Johns United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held 5-7:30 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2009 with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery.
