Virginia R. Gunn

Virginia R. Gunn, 91, of Blackstone, VA, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011.

She was a retired A & P employee and housewife. Virginia was the daughter of the late Willie and Estelle Robertson, and widow of Edward Harrison "Johnny" Gunn. She was also predeceased by her brothers, William, Charlie, James and Hugh Robertson, and her sisters, Mary May and Pearl Ingram.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Charles Gunn of Blackstone and Wallace Gunn of Concord, VA; two sisters-in-law, Inez Chiles and Lona Robertson; brother-in-law, James Bell, all of Blackstone; five grandchildren, Ginger Bishop (David), Eddie Gunn (Jody), Kathy Basinger (Ron), all of Crewe, Chris Gunn (Deborah, decd) and Brian Gunn (Amanda), all of Rustburg, VA; seven great-grandchildren, William and Jason Bishop, Stuart, Dustin and Brooke Gunn, Dallas Basinger, and Samantha Gunn.

She was a lifelong member of St. Marks United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, July 10, 2011. The family will receive friends 6 8 P.M., Saturday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone.
