Vergie Edmonds Brooks

Vergie Edmonds Brooks, 94, of Colonial Heights, VA, died Monday, May 31, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Brooks; daughter, Dorothy Warren Scott; and granddaughter, Gail Warren.

Vergie is survived by her granddaughter, Terry Lynn Warren; three sisters, Irene Mayton and Edith Thompson, both of Blackstone, VA, Shirley Grady of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and a brother, Bernard Edmonds of Lawrenceville, VA.

Visitation will take place 6:00 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, near Blackstone. Funeral services to be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Petersburg, VA.
