Thomas Lane Robinson, age 68, of Blackstone, VA, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Friday, April 25, 2025. He passed away peacefully with his beloved wife by his side holding his hand.
Lane was preceded in death by his parents, WT Robinson & Betty Alice Robinson and his brother, Donnie Robinson.
Left to cherish his memory are his lifelong friend & devoted wife of 10 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Robinson, stepfather, George Smith, sisters, Reita Turner (Gene), Lisa Baker (Pete) and step sister, Lou Flora (Wayne), son, Thomas L Robinson (Hayley), step children, Rebecca Jean West, Benjamin A. West, Richard G. Wilson, Jr. (Katelin) and Holden L. Wilson.
Lane was lovingly known as “PaPa” to his many grandchildren who adored him. Rhys, Cameron, Haven, Tristan, Nicholas, Noah, Brock, Devin, Ryland, Gunner and Mason, and numerous nieces and nephews.
As a young man, Lane worked for many years as a Top Lineman and then as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a man of tremendous Faith. A lifelong Christian who was a member of the Farmville Church of God in N. Carolina. During his years in Virginia, he and his wife faithfully attended Crewe Baptist Church where he was lovingly deemed “the Pentecostal Brother”!!
Lane enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering in his shed and his truck, NASCAR and his beloved Steelers.
Most of all, Lane will be remembered as a man of God, a good friend with a kind, gentle spirit who always had a kind word and a man who cherished his family.

Celebration of life to be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Crewe Baptist Church, 400 East Virginia Ave., Crewe, VA.. Arrangements by the Blackstone Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home.
