Thomas Jackson Major, 80, of Bracey, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pansy Cogdill Major; his five children, Brenda Gale McMillion, Thomas Alton Major and wife Teresa Varner, George Lewis Major, Daryel Wayne Major and Thomas Jackson Major, Jr. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, Chelsie, Chastity, TJ, Barbara Ann, Caitlin, Sara, Dustin, Olivia, Lacey, Christian, Kasey, Emily and her partner Zachary, and Jackson, and seventeen great grandchildren, Brendan, Payton, Emily, Lauren, Brandon, Layla, Lily, Maddie, Jay, Lexie, Jake, Tessa, Preston, London, Cannon, and Owen, brother, Robert Major and sister, Frances Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Louis Major, and Mildred Abernathy Major, and his beloved son, David Anthony Major, brothers, Charles, William, Eddie and George Major, and sister, Mary Conley.

The family welcomes you to celebrate the life of Tommy during visitation on Thursday, December 11th from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Joseph McMillian Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12th at 2:00pm, at the St. John’s United Methodist Church, 17502 Namozine Rd. Amelia, VA. 23002.
