Thelma Reams Wells

DURHAM: Mrs. Thelma Reams Wells, 82, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Treyburn Healthcare. Mrs. Wells was born in Nottoway County, VA. She is the daughter of the late Munford Bolling Reams and Irene Mabel Reams. Mrs. Wells was a clerk for the state of Virginia Mental Healthcare, and a member of Rocky Hill United Methodist Church in Blackstone, VA. Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Wells.

Mrs. Wells is survived by two daughters, Judy Harris of Durham, NC, and Pamela Jones of Richmond, VA; her son, Michael Wells of Chesterfield, VA; her two sisters, Corrine Vaughan and Joyce Winn, both of Blackstone, VA; her four grandchildren, Jason Harris, Adam Harris, Jessica Edwards, and Christopher Wells; and three great grandchildren, Sydney Edwards, Timothy Harris, and Caden Wells.

A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, March 20th, 11:00 a.m., at Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone, VA. The Rev. Norman Harris will be officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Rocky Hill U.M.C. c/o Joyce Winn, 2359 Rocky Hill Road, Blackstone, VA 23824.
