Terrie Harrison Vaughan, a spunky 69-year-old woman from Dinwiddie, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. For over 30 years Terrie fought Friedreich's Ataxia, a rare genetic condition, with remarkable courage and resilience. Despite her condition, she lived with determination, always putting her family before herself. Sadly, her life was cut short by complications arising from COVID-19.
Terrie is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Charles M. “Chuck” Vaughan, Jr.; their daughter, April Cassada; her son, Carl Ladd, Jr. (Karen) of Wilsons; and six grandchildren, Dillon and Davis Ladd, Joshua and Charles Gunn, and Allie and Emily Cassada. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Jeannie Credle; her brother, Sandy Harrison; and her father, Herman Harrison.
Terrie possessed an extraordinary talent for arts and crafts, which she channeled into making heartfelt gifts as an expression of love for her family. Although she is no longer with us, her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. The arrangements are under the care of the Blackstone Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes. For more information, please visit www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
