Steve Irving Austin

Steve Irving Austin, age 65, of Crewe, VA, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. He is survived by his brother, William E.  “Billy” Austin (Beverly) and two sisters, Connie Penland of Hampton, VA and Barbara Bruner (John) of Vinton, VA; a sister-in-law, Marlene Austin of Glen Allen, VA, a very special cousin, Jimmy Austin and family of Crewe, VA and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, William E. and Christine Austin, brother, Ronald E. Austin and a brother-in-law, John H. Penland. Steve grew up on a farm in Nottoway County that he dearly loved. He enjoyed fishing (anytime and anywhere), playing his guitar and watching old western movies.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 22482 Prince Edward Hwy., Rice, VA 23966. Arrangements are by the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home of Blackstone and Crewe. www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
