Shirley Constance Palmore

Shirley C. Palmore, 76, of Blackstone, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Mary L. and G. Garland Palmore. She retired after 40 years of service from Sprint. Shirley is survived by four sisters, Helen Frances Butterworth, Vivian Johnson (Dillard), Ercelle Dewey (Max), all of Blackstone, and Dudley Atkinson of Richmond; a niece, Barbara B. Scott; eight nephews, Greg Dewey; Jonathan, Tim, Ted, and Jeff Atkinson; and Randy, Chris and Scott Johnson; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeremy "Kenny" and Cameron Scott; Andrew Dewey; Jerry, Sam, Ben, Renee', and Brooke Atkinson; Brad, Matt, Michael and Kevin Johnson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M., Saturday, July 21, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Bus. Hwy. 460 in Blackstone.
