Shirley A. Mayton, 74, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggie C. Wallace and her husband, Vance of Wilsons; and Sondra C. Duncanson of Blackstone; and two sons, Tony S. Mayton and Timothy J. Mayton, both of Blackstone.
Shirley is also survived by her extended family of nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three step children and step grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Marston of McKenney, Jerry Marston of Lawrenceville; five sisters, Edith Thompson of McKenney, Judy Washington of Fredericksburg, Betty Harmon of Warrenton, N.C., Sally Lewis of Bracey, Patricia Lancaster of Jacksonville, FL and many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Greg Duncanson and a sister, Marie Houston.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, May 19, 2010 with a memorial service at 6:30 P.M. at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone, VA.
