Shirley Stables Daniel

Shirley Stables Daniel, 92, of Crewe, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Daniel and sister, Audrey Stables.  Shirley is survived by her three children, Joyce Wenger (Charles), Robbie Daniel (Laura), and Jeff Daniel (Darlene); seven grandchildren, Jason Daniel, Emily Newcomb (Adam), Timmy Wenger (Amy), Seth Wenger (Ashleigh), Sarah Deane, Jimmie Daniel, and Tyler Daniel (Katherine); and 14 great grandchildren, Jessica Ralston (Chad), Clifton and Kaleb Daniel, Chloe and Cole Daniel, Abbi and Chelsie Berger, Jaxson Newcomb, Camryn, Aiden, and Chaley Wenger, Josh Wenger and Tanner and Kinsley Deane; brother, Fred Stables (Peggy) and sister, Nancy Williams (Charlie).

Shirley enjoyed living life on the farm surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She served along side her husband in The Gideons International for many years as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary. She was active in church all her life, playing piano and working with children. She loved singing in church and community choirs. She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Nottoway, from an early age and in later years at Crewe United Methodist Church.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 3:00 PM in Blendon Cemetery, Crewe, VA.
