Ruby Goad Obituary

Ruby Skelton Goad, 81, of Burkeville, VA formerly of Blackstone, passed away Friday, February 03, 2012.

She was the widow of O. Carson Goad and also predeceased in death by her daughter, Linda Dawson, sisters, Daisy Codispoti and Lula May Skelton, a brother, Edwin Skelton. Ruby is survived by her children, Jessie Goad (Linda) of Chester, Ruby Lee Clark of Burkeville, Shirley Shaw (Terry) of Amelia, Frank Goad of Burkeville, Charlie Goad (Rhonda) of Blackstoneand Ronnie Goad (Betty Jo) of McKenney. 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two sisters, Betty of Nevada and Mary Frances Hudson of Kenbridge and a brother, Ray Skelton (Janie) of Victoria.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M Saturday, February 4
at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus.Hwy) 460 near Blackstone. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Lakeview Cemetery.
