Robert Alfred Williams, Jr.

Robert Alfred “Bob” Williams, Jr., of Ford, VA, and lifetime resident of Dinwiddie County, VA, passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 70. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by love for his family, a strong work ethic, and dedication to his community.

Born on August 25, 1954, Bob was the son of the late Robert Alfred “Spec” Williams and Annie Lee Williams. His mother, Annie Lee, served as the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Dinwiddie County, and his father, “Spec,” was the founder and owner of Williams & Lewis Oil Company. After his father’s passing, Bob took over the family business, carrying it forward with the same determination and work ethic instilled in him.

Bob married Marlene Vlk, and together they had two children, Ryan Lewis Williams, and Brooke S. Williams. Though they later separated, their shared love for family continued through their children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his children, Ryan (Daniela), and Brooke and by his beloved grandchildren: Cameron, Banan, Cavin, Evelyn, and Julian Williams. He will be remembered for his determination, kindness, and the way he always went above and beyond when he set his mind to something. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7816 White Oak Rd., Ford, VA 23850 in Dinwiddie County.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church, Cemetery Fund.  The Williams family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Joseph McMillian Funeral Home for their compassionate care and unwavering support during this profoundly difficult time.  www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
