Robert Williams Obituary

Robert Sturgis Williams, age 87, of Clays Rest Home in Blackstone, VA died Saturday, September 15, 2007. He was born in Campbell County, VA, the son of Clara Sturgis and John Robert Williams. Sturgis was a US Army World War II veteran and longtime member of Crenshaw United Methodist Church in Blackstone. He was preceded in death by his sister. Thanks to the care given by the staff of Clays Rest Home and a special thank you to his favorite caretaker, Marian "Omega" Mason. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Wickliffe Cemetery in Brookneal, Virginia. Reverend Scott Hopkins of Crenshaw United Methodist Church, officiating. His remains will lie in state for viewing and calling hours on Thursday and Friday at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, in Blackstone.
