Robert Joseph Schnell

Robert Joseph Schnell (Bobby) (Bob), 81 years old, of Crewe, VA passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan and moved to Virginia in 1948.  Bobby attended Blackstone public schools and served in US Air Force (March 1965-October 1968).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Schnell (Germany) and Joseph Schnell (Austria). He is survived by his wife, Doris Inge Schnell; his one and only son, Brian S. Schnell (Stephanie) and his beloved grandchildren, Jaxon B. Schnell and Saylor H. Schnell and his extra grandchild, Alexis Jennings. 

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, February 27, 2026, with Military Honors by the US Air Force.  The family will receive friends following the services at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824.  www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
