Robert "Bob" Logan Gibson

Robert "Bob" Logan Gibson, 68, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Gibson; three sons, Michael Gibson(Lisa) of Blackstone, Sam Gibson(Jodi) of Baskerville, VA, Robbie Gibson(Bonnie) of Dungannon, VA; his daughter, Lisa Covington(Ronnie) of Saxe, VA; nine grandchildren, Scott and Cameron Mayton, Beth Hayes, Amanda, Marshall, Josh, and Lexie Gibson, Sammi Jo Solomon and Dustin Williams; two step-grandchildren, Lexie and Lakin Calton and nine great grandchildren, Dylan Overby, Jacob, Bradley and Taylor Solomon, Madison, Neal, Chase and Abbi Gibson, and Earl Levi Price, Jr.

Bob is also survived by his two sisters, Ruby Compton of Kingsport, TN and Peggy Walker of Blackstone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be missed dearly by all that knew him. Bob was a mechanic and truck driver. He has lived in the Blackstone area for many years.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 9 P.M., at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011,at the family cemetery in Dungannon, VA, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved parents.
