Robert “Bob” Cline, 71, passed away peacefully in Blackstone, Virginia, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving children. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Laura Tomer, whose memory remained a guiding presence throughout his life.
Bob is survived by his children, Michael “Casey” Cline (Cheryl), Maggie Cline (Ray), Dion Tomer (Heather), and Alex Bishop; and by his beloved grandchildren, Zack, Lucas, Ethan, Stephan, Ashley, and Avery, who brought him tremendous joy and pride.
Bob’s greatest legacy is found in the lives of the people he loved. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his infectious sense of humor, his love of fishing and the outdoors, and the simple moments he cherished most—quiet mornings on the water, good conversations, and time spent with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Bob’s memory by spending time outdoors, casting a line, sharing a laugh, and appreciating the beauty around you.
Services will be private.
Bob rarely said goodbye. Instead, he would simply smile and say, “Be well.”
So we won’t say goodbye to our Dad, Grandpa, and friend.
