Raymond Henry Vaughan, Jr.

Raymond H. Vaughan, Jr., age 80, of McKenney, Va., passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Muriel Caldwell Vaughan; two sons, Tom Vaughan and his wife, Deborah of Mechanicsville and John Vaughan and his wife, Julie of Colorado Springs, Co.; seven grandchildren, Michael Vaughan, Sheila Jackson, Chris, James, Joshua, Jessica and Jacqueline Vaughan; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Skyler, Harmon and Connor Jackson; two brothers, Edgar T. Vaughan and wife, Anne of Mechanicsville and James Ronald Vaughan and wife, Carolyn of Palmyra; and a sister, Helen V. Williamson of Glen Allen. Raymond is predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Barbara C. Vaughan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Sharon Baptist Church, 4111 Darvills Road, Blackstone, Va. 23824. Visitation will be held at the church directly following the funeral service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Building Fund, Sharon Baptist Church.
