Ray Pridgen Obituary

Ray Pridgen, 89, of Blackstone, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at his home.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris C. Pridgen; a brother, Ike Pridgen of Crewe; his faithful companions, Blackie and Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, January 9, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Business Hwy. 460, near Blackstone, VA 23824, and also where chapel funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 10, 2009. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Nottoway Co. Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 453, Crewe, VA 23930 or to the Blackstone First Responders of the Blackstone Fire Department, 318 Church Street, Blackstone, VA 23824.
