Phyllis Hazel Prosise

Phyllis Hazel Hodge Prosise, of Blackstone, VA was surrounded by loved ones as she peacefully passed away on Sept 2, 2024. Born in Johnston County, NC on May 6, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Virgil Hodge and Hazel Godwin Hodge.

Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Everette; children Chris (Emily), Melanie (Dave), Joseph, Josh (Sarah); grandchildren, Chloe, Theo, Brennan, Lance, Bryan, Madilyn; brothers, Allen, Ralph, Alton; dog, Gibbs; and numerous other family members and friends.

Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her brother E.V. Hodge, Jr.

Phyllis enjoyed gardening, sewing, and baking with her grandchildren. She lived an admirable life, gave to all, and she was loved by many.

The family will welcome all that loved Phyllis to a memorial service at Crenshaw United Methodist Church in Blackstone, VA, in the coming weeks.
