Nancy Lee Abernathy

Nancy Lee Abernathy, age 73, of Nottoway Co., formerly of Blackstone, departed this life and passed into eternal peace on Monday, December 10, 2007.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. Abernathy.

Nancy is survived by four children; Robert C. Abernathy and his wife, Terri of Blackstone; Laura Daniel and her husband, Robbie of Crewe; Bryan D. "Bubba" Abernathy; Jeff Abernathy and his wife, Melissa, all of Jetersville; five grnadchildren, Scott Abernathy, Jason Daniel (Robin), Emily Berger (David), Erika and Mariah Abernathy and Clifton Daniel; sister, Barbara Combs of Colonial Beach, Va.; and a brother, Bill Donathan of Powhatan, Va.

The family will receive friends, 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Bus. Hwy 460, where chapel services will be held 11 a.m., Wed. Dec. 12, 2007. The Reverend G.C.Shepherd will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department or to the Nottoway County Emergency Squad.
