Michael Morgan Armes, Sr

Michael Morgan Armes, Sr., age 78, of Crewe, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025.  Mike was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the Nottoway Co. Public Schools with over 30 years of service.  He is survived by his children, Michael Jr. (Kim) of Moseley, David (Ellery) of Roanoke, and Michelle of Bedford; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Carter and Norah; three brothers, Sonny (Roberta), Joe and Billy (Sam).  Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Stuart L. Armes Sr. and Teresa Codispoti McDaniel; granddaughter, Isla; and brother, Bobby.  During Mike’s retirement, he enjoyed watching all kinds of sports and playing golf. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M., Monday, August 18, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA  23824.  Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Crewe Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local fire or rescue squad in Mike’s memory. www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
