Max Dewey, Jr. Obituary

Max Morris Dewey, Jr., age 83, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ercelle P. Dewey; son, Greg L. Dewey and his wife, Anita; and a grandson, Andrew G. Dewey.

Max was a lifetime member of the Blackstone Vol. Fire Department, with service over 50 years, a devoted member of Crenshaw United Methodist Church and a WWII US Navy Veteran.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Crenshaw United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday April 25, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home 1826 Cox Rd. Bus. Hwy 460 near Blackstone.
