Mary Lee Perkins

Miss Mary Lee Perkins, 97, of Blackstone, VA died Monday, April 12, 2010. She was the daughter of Leslie L. Perkins and Maggie Boisseau Perkins Allen and was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Allen and brother, Walter Bernard Allen, Jr.

Mary Lee is survived by two nieces and a nephew.

She was a graduate of Blackstone High School and the Norfolk Business College and was a retired legal secretary for Gravatt Law Firm of Blackstone. Mary Lee was a lifelong member and Sunday school teacher of Crenshaw United Methodist Church.

Visitation and viewing will be held from 12 to 2 P.M., Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. A graveside funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone.
