Mary Garrett Cousins

Mary Garrett Cousins, 96, of Church Road, Amelia, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009. She is the widow of Alton Cousins.

Mary is survived by a son, Frank Cousins; a daughter, Augusta Davis and her husband, Wayne, all of Church Road; a sister, Gladys Drinkwater of Blackstone; two brothers, Dennis Garrett and his wife, Elsie of Blackstone, William Springston and his wife, Judy of Wilsons; her grandchildren, Kevin Davis and his wife, Michelle, Alton Davis,Ryan Davis and his fiance,Lindsay Bain, and Mary Elizabeth Davis; three great grandchildren, McKenna Abbott, Jessica and Justin Davis.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Townsend and two brothers, Ben Allen and Claude Garrett.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Grace Methodist Church Cemetery, Wilsons, with Pastor Jane Myers officiating. Her remains may be viewed until 12 noon, Tuesday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. 460), near Blackstone.
