Mary Blackwell Barnes

Mary Blackwell Barnes, 44, of Richmond, VA, died on Sunday, December 27, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Barnes, III. She is survived by her mother, Betty Sue Barnes; three sisters, Susan Nash (Eddie), and Martha Reed (David), all of Blackstone, and Anne VanWart (Roger) of Richmond; four nieces, Kate and Sarah Nash, Maggie and Mary Preston Reed, and a nephew, Kendall VanWart. She is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Dr. & Mrs. Letcher B. Barnes, and dear friend, Rob Harrison.

Mary was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and received her MBA from the University of Richmond. She was a public finance specialist at Hunton & Williams, LLP.

The family will receive friends, at all times, at 591 Barnes Lane, Blackstone, VA 23824. Memorial services will be held 3 P.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at the Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church Street, Blackstone. Burial will be private.
