Marlene Bryant Obituary
Marlene Matthew Bryant, 89, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She is the widow of Charlie C. Matthew and Claud W. Bryant. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper for the Blackstone Fuel and Supply Co. Marlene is survived by her daughter, Ruby Ann Harlon (Eddy) of Crewe; a special daughter, Sharon Stanley (Tim) of Florida; two grandchildren, Christopher J. Pope (Nicole) and Ashley Brock (Garland); eight great grandchildren; stepson, Barty Bryant (Ann) of Richmond; four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; special grandson, Joey Taylor (Jessica) and two special great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the funeral home.
