Marion Beatrice Jones Morgan

Marion Beatrice Jones Morgan, age 79, of Blackstone, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Junious Morgan and son, Lawrence M. Morgan.

Mrs. Morgan leaves behind to cherish her memory her seven children, Donald J. Morgan (Martha) of Amelia, Marian O. Mason (Willie) of Dinwiddie, Queen O. Wilson (Thomas), Ronald R. Morgan (Thelma), James W. Morgan, Sr. (Sherral Smith, fiancee), Selma M. Hayes (Samuel) and Mary S. Hobbs (Christopher, dec.) all of Blackstone; 28 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Julia Jones of Hagerstown, MD.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Poplar Lawn Baptist Church, 465 Poplar Lawn Rd., Blackstone. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. C.L. Hobbs will officiate and Pastor Tyree N. Smith, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.
