Margaret Mayton Daniel

Mrs. Margaret M. Daniel, 88, of Blackstone, Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 at her home. She was a 1934 graduate and Valedictorian of Kenbridge High School and attended the Blackstone College for Girls. Margaret was a professional weaver for the Blackstone Silk Mill and Velvet Textile Corporation, retiring after 52 years. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Mallory Heartwell Daniel; Brother, Frank Mayton; Sister, Virginia M. Smith and her husband, Robert, all of Kenbridge; Devoted family, Virginia and Larry Prue of Kenbridge and Brenda Faison of Blackstone. The family will receive friends at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, Business Highway 460, from 3 to 5 P.M., Saturday, July 14, where chapel services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, July 15, 2007. Pastor Billy Davis and Pastor Melvin Thompson officiating. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone.
