Mrs. Louise Lewis Davis, 86, of Ford, Va. passed away Monday, May 11, 2009. She was a native and lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County, daughter of the late Bascom Thomas and Mary Meredith Lewis and widow of Lloyd Mayes Davis.
She was a homemaker and member of Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church where she had been active in many church activities.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Ross Davis and a daughter, Judy Lee Davis, one aunt, Laura Wray, all of Ford; two sisters-in-law, Ethma Davis of Ford and Beatrice Blackwell of Colonial Heights; three nephews, John Davis Jr., Randy Banton, and Hugh Blackwell; two nieces, Inez Baldwin and Sandra Boze; and several great and great-great-nephews and nieces; and four special, Jason Davis, Troy, Kaley and Brady Moring.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M., Wednesday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home , 1826 Cox Road, Blackstone, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ford, Va. with burial in the church cemetery.
