Lesley Jo Thompson

Lesley Jo Thompson of Crewe, VA, passed away on her 70th birthday and is celebrating in heaven on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Thompson, and her parents, Leslie R. and Myrtle A. Elliott.  Lesley Jo was a retired Property Manager for several real estate companies, and upon retirement she worked as a cashier for Crewe Station.  She is survived by her first husband, Bill Wray of Kenbridge, and their three children: Chris Wray and his wife, Jennifer of San Antonio, Texas; Lori Wray White of Kenbridge, VA; and Clay Wray and his wife, Emily of Columbia, South Carolina. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Skye Hoff, River Wray, Autumn White, Lawson White, Truitt White, Noah Thompson, and Joey Thompson.  Lesley Jo was the youngest of five sisters, and is survived by Ginger Rockwell (George), Linda Andrews (Mike), Judy Bartlett (Skip) and Susan Burrows (John); a beloved daughter-in-law, Laralee Thompson; as well as her two lifelong best friends, Susie Sones and Rose McDaniel.   

Chapel funeral services will be held at the Crewe Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 200 W. Carolina Ave., Crewe, VA  23930 at 3:00 P.M., Wed., July 31, 2024.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Interment will take place at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 1, 2024, in Virginia Memorial Park, 11490 Forest Rd., in Forest, VA  24551. www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
