Lelia Vaughan Reid, age 103, of Blackstone, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Lelia was the daughter of the late James Henry and Sadie Suydam Vaughan, and the widow of Ray E. Reid. She was predeceased by her brothers, J. Woodrow Vaughan, Charles H. Vaughan and U. B. Vaughan; and two nephews, James E. Jimmy Vaughan and Robert Lee Vaughan.
Mrs. Reid is survived by one niece, Betty Lou Miller of Camano Island, Washington; one niece-in-law, Mary Ann Vaughan; two great-nieces, Karen Pope and Jamie Weaver, all of Suffolk; several other great-nieces and great-nephews; and a very special friend, Margaret Sitty Baskervill of Blackstone.
Visitation will take place 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012, in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.
