Laura Coleman Obituary
Laura Rodenhizer Coleman, 95, of North Chesterfield, VA entered eternity on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry “Huck” Coleman, of 53 years; she was born in Blackstone, VA to the late Chapman Jones “Chap” and Mary Pridgen Rodenhizer. She was also preceded in death by her brother Chapman J. Rodenhizer, Jr.
Laura is survived by her daughters; Cynthia Coleman, Mary Ellen Powelson (Jay) and Tracey Wyman (Paul) and four grandchildren Avery and Devin Powelson, Bryce and Hannah Dolfi.
She enjoyed spending time in her yard and talking with her neighbors. Laura was a member of Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church for 57 years. She served as a children’s Sunday school teacher for several years.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 5900 Hull Street Rd. N, Richmond, VA 23224.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ramsey Memorial UMC, P.O. Box 75655, N. Chesterfield, VA 23236 or The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675. Arrangements are being conducted by the Blackstone Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home.
