Larry David Rose passed peacefully on December 26, 2025. Larry was an employee of Recyc Systems, Inc. since 2008 until he retired a couple years ago. Larry was born April 26, 1954 in Tazewell, Virginia to Jack Rose and Lorraine. He was raised by his grandparents, Robert Edward and Mary Ellen Rose. He also worked for Velvet Textiles previously. He was a carpenter and then he became an equipment operator with Recyc Systems, Inc. Larry made the important decision to accept Jesus as his Savior and was baptized June 26, 2011. Larry lived a simple life and he loved cats. He would take in stray cats and give them a home. He enjoyed taking out his Jon boat and fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars. Larry resided at Green Meadows Farm in Dinwiddie County but spent the last year at Heritage Hall in Blackstone, Va. We would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall and Hospice of Virginia for caring for Larry during the last year of his life. We will miss Larry. He was a kind and quiet soul.
Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes has been entrusted for his care. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
