Larry Wayne Burnette

Larry Wayne Burnette, 66, of Blackstone, VA passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026.  He was a retired mill worker of Trout River Lumber of Crewe.  Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary Westfall Burnette, his parents, Madeline Lawrence Burnette and George Washington Burnette; and his brothers, Junior and Robert Burnette.  He is survived by his two daughters, Renee Burnette and a granddaughter, Natasha Burnette of Chase City, VA. and Shannon Riley of Bluefield, WVA.  He is also survived by his sisters, Shelby, Linda, Lucy and Anna Burnette; and brothers, Jimmy, Johnny, Earl and Billy Burnette. 

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 2 P.M. in Lakeview Cemetery, 8th St. and College Ave. in Blackstone, VA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the  Alzheimer’s Association, at  https://donorservices.alz.org  Arrangements are by the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home of Blackstone, VA.  www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
