Judy Mae Barnes

Judy Mae Barnes, 50, of McKenney, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mina and Tom Dawson.

Judy is survived by her husband, Allie Gordon Barnes; mother-in-law, Allie Mae Barnes; sister, Brenda Dawson; and brothers, Raleigh and Charles Dawson, all of McKenney, and Kenneth Dawson of Alberta; nephew, Nicholas Hayes of McKenney; brother-in-law, Gerald W. Barnes and wife, Laura, of Troutville, VA; her adopted daddy grouch, Charles E. Lewis; several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; and her faithful cats, R.S. and Mimi.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday, February 16, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, (Bus. Hwy. 460), near Blackstone. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Sharon Baptist Church.
