Joseph A. "Joe" Karpinski

Joseph A. "Joe" Karpinski, 53, of Bracey, VA, formerly of Blackstone, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009.

He is survived by his loving companion, Rosemary Thompson; four children, Christina Elam and her husband, James; Dawn Brookbank, all of Victoria; Joey and Morgan Karpinski, both of Bracey.

Joe also leaves to cherish his memory to eight grandchildren, Candis Joyner, Travis Joyner, Destiny Elam, Justin Joyner, Alexis Elam, Adelina Dimitri, Thomas Lacks, Jr. and Joseph Lacks; three sisters, Jo Ann Virant of Streetsboro, Ohio, Ruth Keller of West Farmington, Ohio and Shelly Spaller of Euclid, Ohio and a brother, Ken Spaller, III of Kent, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration be made to help assist them in Joe's final expenses at the funeral home.
