John Oswald Moss Lee

John Oswald Moss Lee, 79, of Blackstone, VA died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at his home.

He was a retired Captain of the Virginia Army National Guard and also retired from Garrett, Moon & Pool, Inc.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helene Thompson Lee; two sons, John O. "Jay" Lee, Jr. and his wife, Terri; and David W. Lee; three grandchildren, C.J., Amanda and Nick Lee; his brother, Richard H. Lee and his wife, Mary Eva, all of Blackstone.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, Bus. Hwy. 460, 1826 Cox Rd., near Blackstone.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church St., Blackstone, VA 23824. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Crenshaw United Methodist Church, Nottoway County Emergency Squad or to the Blackstone Fire Department, First Responder Program.
