James Thaxton Obituary

James Bill Thaxton, 85, of Victoria, VA, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

He was born and raised in Oxford, North Carolina and was a retired farmer and US Army WWII veteran.

James was predeceased in death by his wife, Irene Parrish Thaxton and a daughter, Carolyn Spake.

He is survived by two daughters, Jo-Anne Cliborne of Kenbridge and Wanda Sue Gaulding (Clarence) of Blackstone; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, April 22, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park, South Hill, VA, with military honors.
