James Andrew "Jimmy" Hudson, 68, of Blackstone, VA, was called home Saturday, May 12, 2007. He was a well known general contractor for over 40 years. Colonel James Hudson, owner of Hudson's Auction Service, auctioneered for over 20 years. He is survived by his daughter, Donna H. Martin and son-in-law, Todd of Blackstone; his mother, Annie P. Hudson of Crewe; a grandson, Brandon Todd Martin; granddaughter, Emily Carrol Martin; three sisters, Nellie McAllister, Dorothy Rogers and Alice Jones; four brothers, Richard, William "Billy", Wallace and Floyd Hudson, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Hudson; sisters, Caroleen Clark and Mae Mayton; and brothers, Leonard, Douglas and Roy Hudson. Jimmy was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., Monday at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, and where chapel services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, May 15. Interment to follow in Crewe Cemetery, Crewe, VA.
