James Allen Baughan

James Allen Baughan, 90, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Doris Lewis Baughan; son, Richard Allen Baughan; parents, Roger McKinley and Estelle Driggs Baughan; and his brother, Maury “Pete” Baughan.  James is survived by three children, Brenda B. Bryant of Blackstone, Ronald M. Baughan (Kay) of Crewe, and Deborah B. Borum of Blackstone; daughter-in-law, Kaye Baughan of Dillwyn; 10 grandchildren, Lee Bryant, Deana Boyles, David Amburn (Tricia), Danielle Edwards (Jamie), Shannon Edwards (Kynan), Stacey Baughan, Dakota Baughan (Bethany), Ryan Borum (Katie), Fletcher Borum (Dana) and Tyler Borum (Caroline); 20 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and a sister, Eva Baughan Clevinger. 

James was a well-known and longtime insurance agent for several companies and retired with American General.

 The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Blackstone Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA  23824.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2 P.M.
