Ida Thompson Robertson

Ida Thompson Robertson, 84, of Crewe, VA passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011.

She was the widow of Woodrow W. Robertson and also preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda G. Robertson and son, Gregory L. Robertson.

Ida is survived by five children, Rita R. LaVelle (Jim) of Crewe, Janet Matthews (David Earl) of Blackstone, Gary Robertson (Faye) of Henrico, Tony Robertson (Gloria) and Timmy Robertson, both of Crewe. Eight grandchildren, Jeff LaVelle (Beverly) of Crewe, Todd Lavelle (Kristy) of Blackstone, Kristi Dziedzic (Chris) of Warsaw, Poland, April Lewis (Shane) of Benson, N.C., Lindsey Tompkins (Clay) of Bumpass, VA, Ashley Brown (Joe) of Crewe, Rusty Robertson of Crewe and Ethan Robertson of Crewe; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Thompson of Iowa and Curtis Thompson of Princeton, WV; sister, Catherine Smith of Princeton, WV.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, VA.
