Helene Thompson Lee

Helene Thompson Lee, age 78, of Blackstone, VA, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Thompson and the widow of John O. Lee.

Helene is survived by two sons, David Welland Lee and John O. Jay Lee, Jr. (Terri), all of Nottoway County; three grandchildren, C.J. Lee of Richmond, VA; Amanda Lee of Lunenburg County, VA; and Nick Lee of Nottoway County.

The family will receive friends 6 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, at Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Crenshaw United Methodist Church, Blackstone, with interment following in Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church Street, Blackstone, VA 23824; Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department, 318 Church Street, Blackstone, VA 23824, or to the Nottoway County Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 453, Crewe, VA 23930.
