Gerald Noell

Gerald Noell, 96, of Blackstone, VA died Wednesday, February 18, 2009.

He was the widow of Katherine J. Noell. He was a former president of Planters Bank & Trust Co. in Chatham and was retired from Central Fidelity Bank.

Mr. Noell is survived by his daughter, Mimi Owen of Blackstone; his son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Sandy Noell of Midlothian; his granddaughters, Katherine Owen of Easley, S.C., Susan Madison of Blacksburg, Jennifer Vaughan and Laura May, both of Richmond; four great grandchildren, Adriane and Landon Vaughan, and Meagan and Will Madison; and his sister, Jennie Wilmarth of Danville.

Memorial services will be held Friday, February 20 at 2:00 P.M. at the Crenshaw United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, 400 College Rd., Blackstone.
