Gerald Hailey

Gerald Hailey, age 24, of Crewe, Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026.

He will be remembered with love by his family and friends for the time they shared together and the memories that will forever remain close to their hearts. Gerald navigated life with challenges many could not fully understand. Though his journey was not always easy, he was deeply loved by his family. He especially enjoyed watching wrestling and his favorite television shows, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital.

He is survived by his father, Jerry “Butch” Hailey (Linda) of Crewe; his sister, Katie Hailey; his aunt and uncle, Sandra Duffey (Jimmy) of Keysville and Steve “Buster” Hailey (Lindsey) of Crewe; and his cousins, Jason Duffey (Alyssa), Mandy Lawson (Cale), Maegen Hailey, and Ryan Hailey.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Jo Bates; his grandmothers, Myrtle “Sis” Bates Hailey and Ollie Arrington; and his grandfather, Millard Lee Bates.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, May 23, 2026 in the Crewe Cemetery on The Falls Road, Crewe, Virginia 23930.
