G.C. Bridgeman, Jr. Obituary

Gilbert Clayton G.C. Bridgeman, Jr., 80, of Blackstone, Va., departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2009.

He was the widower of Rachel Procise Bridgeman. G.C. is survived by a son, Jeffery C. Bridgman (Rhonda) and grandson, Logan C. Bridgman, all of Chester; two daughters and their children, Gloria Paulette of Amelia and Roberta Armes (Sonny) of Blackstone, Cheryl Davis (Sam) of Amelia, Tammy Waldrope (David) of Amelia, Rhonda Hill (Jeff) of Wilsons, Lee Armes (JoAnne) of Burkeville; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Bus. Hwy 460, near Blackstone from 6 to 8 p.m. and also where chapel funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.
