Fendell P. Rochelle, 57, of Blackstone, VA died suddenly at his home, The Whetstone Farm, on Friday, October 19, 2007. He is the son of the late Eleanor Bayles and Hubert B. Rochelle.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Gina D. Rochelle; two daughters, Janel of Greensboro, N.C. and Giana of Efland, N.C.; two brothers, H. Blake Rochelle, Jr. of Williamsburg and Stephen B. Rochelle and his wife, Kathy of Hamilton, VA; his sister, Emily Rochelle of Altavista, VA; his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McAdoo of Efland, N.C.; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his best friends, Dave, Roger, David and Chuck.
He was known for his fun-loving and caring spirit. Fendell enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar and drinking coffee. Whether spending time on the farm, doing his nursing duties, he always worked with his whole heart and never complained. He gave of himself, and always gave his all. Many lives have been touched by his presence.
He was a graduate of Old Dominion University and received his B.S. Degree in Psychology and most recently in 2006, graduated from the Southside Regional Medical Center, School of Nursing. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a Registered Nurse for the Virginia Center for Behavior Rehabilitation in Petersburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd, Bus. Hwy. 460 in Blackstone. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Crenshaw United Methodist Church in Blackstone with the cortege to follow to the Chapel of Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia where burial rites and military honors will be held at 3 P.M.
