Mrs. Exie Webb Dalton, a lifelong resident of Blackstone, VA was gently led home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the age of 96.
Her lifes greatest accomplishment is not to be measured in number of years, but rather by the Godly example she was in love, humility, and quiet strength, touching the lives of all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walter J. Dalton.
Exie leaves behind four generations of her family to cherish her memory to include: her four children, James H. Dalton (Wilsie), Earl Dalton (Betty), all of Blackstone, Jean Pinchbeck (Earl) of Victoria, Anne McWilliams (Bob) of Blackstone; two brothers, Heath Webb of Virginia Beach, Lee Webb of Colonial Heights; a sister, Beulah Belvin of Petersburg; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and very special family member, Toshie Bishop.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Saturday, July 24 at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460), near Blackstone. A chapel funeral service will take place at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 25, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.
